78-Year-Old Woman Knocked Out During Manhattan Barnes & Nobles Robbery

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is investigating a robbery a shoplifting incident that left one elderly woman knocked unconscious.

A 78-year-old woman was knocked down and knocked unconscious as a man who just stole $35 worth of Funko Pop figures tried to flee the store after being approached by loss prevention officers.

Police said the woman, Susan Eisenberg was on her way out of the store when we attempted shoplifter fled the store security officers, and ran into her on the way out. She was knocked out and later awoke inside the back of a New York City ambulance.


The suspect was able to successfully flee the store. He was described as police as in his 20s, about 5 ft 3 in tall, having a medium build and dark complexion.
