DEPTFORD, NJ – Zechariah Cartledge is a young man who decided to help the families of our fallen heroes by raising awareness and funds for first responders that have died in the line of duty.

In 2019, Zechariah helped establish the non-profit charity “Running 4 Heroes” and runs one mile for every first responder who makes the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. As part of his mission, he wants to visit every state to honor its respective heroes.

Recently, he visited his 26th state when he stopped by Deptford, N.J. to honor all those that have died in the line of duty in New Jersey.

During his run, he was joined by several troopers, members of the Deptford Police Department, Deptford Fire Department, and Garden State Concerns of Police Survivors.

Family members of fallen troopers, Lieutenant Matthew Razukas and Trooper Eli McCarson were also in attendance during the run.
