Maryland police capture wanted murder suspect in Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, MD – The Maryland State Police have announced the arrest of a suspect wanted for the fatal shooting of a man earlier this month in Dorchester County. According to police, Geett Cornish, 30, of Cambridge, Maryland, has been charged with first-degree murder, assault, and illegal possession of a firearm in connection with a September 20th murder and Cambridge.

How to run for yo 5 p.m. on that day, Cambridge police officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Wood Street and Fairmount Avenue. Police officers canvassed the area to find a body discarded in a wooded area along Edgewood Avenue.

The victim was identified as Kevin Dwayne Raeford, 20, of Salisbury, Maryland. It was determined that he had been shot and killed.


Through their investigation, police identified Cornish as a suspect in the murder.
