Vehicle at Turnpike rest stop stolen by suspect who arrived earlier in stolen van

CRANBURY, NJ – A man driving a stolen Ford Transit van traded up stolen vehicles at the Molly Pitcher rest area on the New Jersey Turnpike and now the New Jersey State Police are asking the public for assistance in identifying him.

According to the New Jersey State Police, the man entered the convenience store at the rest area before leaving in another car, a gold 2000 Honda Accord.

Police said the man entered the rest area driving a white 2015 Ford Transit van which was reported stolen out of Newark.


The suspect fled the scene driving southbound on the New Jersey Turnpike.
