Richmond husband shot at wife during argument over a half pound of heroin

Richmond, VA- The Richmond Police Department was called to a residence on Aqueduct Drive in regards to a domestic dispute and reports of shots fired at around 12:30 in the afternoon on Wednesday.

Upon their arrival, police located multiple subjects involved in the incident attempting to leave the area on foot in different directions.

“During the investigation, it was discovered Jerrod Parrish, 28, of Richmond, had been involved in an altercation with his wife, Jonneisha Lewis, 32, of Richmond. Lewis allegedly confronted Parrish and took narcotics from him during an argument that turned physical,” the Richmond Police Department said today. “Lewis told Officers Parrish was hitting her in the head with a pistol, and while she attempted to escape, he shot at her. A witness in the area observed the altercation and called 911.”


A Madison County Sheriff’s Office K-9, Jimmy, sniffed his way through the home and found approximately 1/2 lb of heroin and 12 G of Fentanyl. Jimmy also located methamphetamine and unidentified pills. Police located two handguns at the scene, one that was stolen from Lexington, Kentucky.

Jerrod Parrish, Jayronn Nickerson, and Jonneisheia Lewis were all arrested and charged with multiple charges ranging from drug charges to gun possession charges and child endangerment charges.
