BALTIMORE, MD – There’s nothing good about the morning bus ride to work. That is unless you realize you just won $50,000 on a lottery ticket.

Brenda Lee, a Baltimore resident was on her way to work when she decided to buy a scratch-off ticket to play on the bus. As she scratched off the boxes, she realized she had won, but knew she couldn’t tell anyone.

“I was excited but didn’t want to tell anyone at my job,” Brenda said.

According to Lee, the 59-year-old is a transportation worker and said she will use the money to “straighten out her bills.” She also plans to give some of her winnings to her adult children.

“I kept looking at the puzzle and could not believe that I won $50,000,” Brenda added.

She bought the winning scratch-off at R & R Convenient and Deli at 812 Guilford Avenue in Baltimore City. The store will receive a $500 bonus from the Lottery for selling a top-prize winning scratch-off.
