ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – People of many diverse backgrounds and faiths came together on Atlantic City’s Boardwalk for the city’s first annual “National Faith & Law Enforcement Day Community Walk”.
The event was organized by Atlantic City Police Lt. Louis Santiago.
Over one hundred people joined the department, along with the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
“Local police chaplains, law enforcement officers, and staff walked Kennedy Plaza to the Atlantic City Public Safety Building and celebrated with many different faith-based organizations and individuals from all over Atlantic County.” the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office said.
Mayor Marty Smalls was joined by Atlantic County Prosecutor William Reynolds, ACPD Chief James Sarko and community leaders to promote peace among the diverse cultures that call the city home.
The event promoted and displayed peace and unity and allowed everyone to pray for a safe and clean Atlantic City and county.
