Rocky Horror Picture Show Returns to Toms River

TOMS RIVER, NJ – Brad, Janet, and Dr. Frank N. Furter are returning to the big screen in Toms River, and yes, props will be used. The show, which found a longtime home at the Cinema Alley old movie theater next to the former Bob Kislins store, used to sell out during the 1980s every weekend after the theater stopped showing new feature films.

It was probably the biggest Rocky Horror Picture Show event at the shore. After those stopped, the movie popped up sporadically here and there around Toms River, but never at the same level.

Outside props are not allowed in the Ocean County College auditorium, but the $25 admission will give you a prop bag that includes rice, toast, toilet paper, playing cards, newspaper, confetti, party blowers, glow sticks, rubber gloves, and paper plates.

You’ll be able to Time Warp with the Friday Night Specials shadow cast, who will host a pre-show costume contest.

The single showing will take place at 7:15 pm on Saturday, October 29th. There are still seats available.
