COLUMBUS, OH – Police in Columbus have arrested a 36-year-old man who they say was responsible for the shooting death of a 13-year-old boy in Hilltop Wednesday evening.e
Krieg Butler Sr. was taken into custody on Thursday without incident by Columbus police officers.
Butler, according to police, shot and killed the boy on the 800 block of Wedgewood Drive at around 5:45 p.m.
“Officers arrived at the scene and found Sinzae Reed suffering from an apparent gunshot wound,” a spokesperson for the Columbus Police Department said. “Officers rendered aid until medics arrived and transported the teenager to Doctors West Hospital in critical condition.”

Less than an hour later, the boy died from his injuries.
