Bakery makes six-foot tall frozen carbonite Pan Solo made of bread

It’s true. All of it. A bakery in California has created a six-foot-tall recreation of Han Solo frozen in carbonite out of dough and baked it into a creation they’re calling Pan Solo.

The Star Wars character Han Solo, played by Harrison Ford, was frozen in carbonite by Darth Vader at the end of The Empire Strikes Back. Vader then sent the frozen Solo to Jabba the Hutt, who had a bounty on the smuggler’s head for non-payment. Han Solo stood as a furniture piece inside Jabba’s court on Tattoine until he was rescued by Luke, Leia, and the gang in Return of the Jedi.

The baked creation was the One House Bakery’s entry into a local scarecrow contest.

“Pan Solo has been encased in levainite,” the business joked, a reference to bread starter levain.
