NEW YORK, NY – A Park Avenue jewelry store was targeted by smash-and-grab thieves early Saturday morning. Multiple suspects used a sledgehammer to break through the glass front door at Cellini Jewelers, located at 430 Park Avenue in the upscale Midtown Manhattan neighborhood.
The three suspects entered the store and smashed store showcases with a sledgehammer, nearly emptying the entire store.
Police estimate the smash-and-grabbers made off with over $500,000 in high-end jewelry.
