14-year-old girl slashed during fight on New York City subway

The New York City Police Department is investigating after a 14-year-old girl was stabbed and slashed during a fight afford a New York City subway train on Sunday.

Investigators are trying to determine how the fight begin and to identify victims, but the young teen is not cooperating with detectives, according to the New York City Police Department. A fourteen-year-old boy who was with the girl at the time of the stabbing was also injured.

The fight took place at around 4 p.m. on the 1 train heading into the hundred 91st Street Station in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan.


The girl was rushed to New York Presbyterian Hospital with stab wounds to her torso and hand. The NYPD said she was listed in stable condition after the attack.

No suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made. This continues to be an ongoing investigation.
