Philadelphia police searching for suspect who robbed local business

On October 27, 2022, at 10:55AM at 5913 N 5th St the complainant reported an unknown black male robbed her store point of a simulated gun.

Philadelphia, PA – The Philadelphia Police Department is searching for a man who attempted to rob a business at 5913 North 5th Street on Thursday. The robbery occurred at around 10:55 am.

“The complainant reported an unknown black male robbed her store point of a simulated gun. Video recovered from the business shows the offender enter the store and begin a conversation with the complainant and says his name is “John”,” police reported. “Shortly after that the offender puts his hand in his pocket to possibly simulate a gun and tells the complainant she will give him everything she has, or he will hurt her. The offender gets nothing a later flees the store.”

The suspect was described as a black male, heavy set, wearing a black “PUMA” hoodie with “PUMA” written down both sleeves, black knit hat with a tan patch on the front, black sunglasses and a white covid mask.
