Two women randomly punched in the face in unprovoked attacks in Center City

PHILADELPHIA, PA- Two women were randomly punched in the face in two separate unprovoked attacks in Center City last weekend. Now, police are searching for a black adult female wanted for those attacks.

According to police, the first victim, a 49-year-old-female, was on the 1200 block of Arch St when an unknown black female offender was approaching her.

“The victim attempted to avoid her by walking closer to a parked vehicle, but as the suspect passed the victim, the suspect swung a closed fist and punched her on the right side of her face, then walked off and was last seen east towards 12th street,” detectives with the Philadelphia Police Department reported.


Later, a second attack was reported by another victim who gave the same description as the previous suspect. 

When the suspect approached 12th and Arch St, the second victim, a 46-year-old female, was crossing 2th Street at Arch Street walking west as the suspect was also crossing from the opposite direction,” the department reported. “As the suspect passed victim #2, the suspect swung a closed fist and struck her on the right side of her face then walked off.”

The victim in the first attack suffered pain in the right side of her face and a swollen jaw from where she was struck. The second victim suffered a cut on her lip and also pain on the right side of her face.
