NEW YORK – An accidental brushing inside a Queens train station turned violent on Tuesday. According to the New York City Police Department, a man was assaulted after his bag accidentally touched another person while walking down the stairs from the E line platform at the Roosevelt Avenue-Jackson Heights station.

“While walking down the stairs, the victim’s bag accidentally brushed against an unknown individual who then struck the victim about the head with a backpack causing a laceration,” the NYPS said today.

Police are still searching for the suspect, who fled the station after the assault.
