Eight charged in Trenton prostitution sting, counseling services offered

TRENTON, NJ – Eight people were arrested during a prostitution sweep in the state capital on Tuesday. Police said the operation took place in the area of South Clinton Avenue and Mott Street.

The operation, carried out by the Trenton Police Department, targeted an area suspected to be a hotbed of illegal prostitution in the downtown Trenton area.

The department offered drug treatment counseling to the arrestees as many were suffering from drug addiction.
