ROCHESTER, NY – Authorities have concluded that a two-year-old boy found dead inside an apartment with his deceased father starved to death, unable to feed and care for himself after the death of his father.

Police were alerted to the residence in the Serenity Manor Apartment complex by concerned relatives who had not heard from the father and son for over a week on February 15th.

Upon arrival at their Geneva home, police located the bodies of the father and child during a welfare check.

The subsequent investigation determined the father died from cardiovascular disease. Unable to fend for himself, the two-year-old starved to death.

Police do not suspect foul play.
