MANCHESTER, NJ – Manchester police officers investigating multiple calls of a suspicious man peering into backyards in the area of Sixth Avenue and Cumberland Boulevard was taken into custody on the power of an outstanding arrest warrant for criminal mischief.
On Thursday, at around 8:24, am, officers investigated a call regarding a suspicious male wearing a red flannel shirt and red pants peering into the backyards of numerous residences in the area.
“Patrolman Joseph Reilly, Patrolman Kyle Rickvalsky, and Patrolman Connor Maliff immediately responded to the area and located a male fitting this description at the corner of Cumberland Boulevard and Broadway Boulevard,” police reported today. “An investigative stop was conducted and the male was identified as Ron Carr, age 34, of Manchester, NJ. During the investigation, it was learned that Carr had an outstanding arrest warrant for criminal mischief out of Manchester Township.”
Carr attempted to flee police on foot but was caught after a brief foot chase and struggle with officers. He was charged with resisting arrest.
