WILKINSBURG, PA – Police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead on the front porch of a home on Holmes Street while a woman and her children were inside the home just feet away. The home was hit with a barrage of at least 18 bullets, police said.
The shooting was reported in the 500 block of Holmes Street at approximately 4:46 p.m. on Monday.
First responders found a 40-year-old male victim who had been shot multiple times on the porch of a residence. The home was occupied by an adult female and her children. There were approximately 18 shots fired toward the victim and his home.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Allegheny County Police Department homicide detectives initiated an investigation.
