PALISADES PARK, NJ – An city worker en route to the annual Palisades Park Christmas tree lighting was stuck while driving by a woman who ran a stop sign in the area of Central Boulevard at around 3pm.

The municipal employee was bringing a mobile lighting unit to the event. The worker was sent to the hospital for treatment of lower body pain, officials said later in the day.

Although the crash forced the closure of Central Boulevard for a period of time, the holiday lighting ceremony went off without a hitch.
