14-year-old girl shot overnight in Baltimore crossfire

BALTIMORE, MD – A 14-yeaer-old girl was treated for a gunshot wound sustained while she was a passenger in a car traveling down West Baltimore Street.

Police officers responded to an area hospital at around 1:50 am after being notified of the girl’s admittance for a gunshot wound.

“Once there, officers located a 14-year-old female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the leg,” BPD officers reported. “The victim’s injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.”


According to the department’s initial investigation, the victim was a passenger in a vehicle, driving through the 1700 block of West Baltimore Street, when she was shot.

Investigators do not believe the victim was the intended target.
