One killed in fiery crash after car flips, lands in JFK Airport parking lot

NEW YORK, NY – An unidentified male driver was killed after he lost control of his vehicle on the Nassau Expressway early this morning. According to police, the vehicle left the roadway, airborne, and flipped over before coming to rest in a parking lot at JFK Airport.

The incident happened near exit 1S at around 3:30 am.

Police believe speed was a contributing factor in the deadly crash.


After landing in the parking lot, the vehicle burst into flames. The fire spread to nearby vehicles. Police reported one firefighter suffered minor injuries battling the fire.
