NEW YORK, NY – A 32-year-old man has been identified as a suspect in an attack and robbery of an 85-year-old woman inside a parking garage in Flushing in December.
According to police, 32-year-old Sidiky Gassama is accused of robbing the woman while she was using a walker, navigating through a parking garage at 74-10 35 Avenue in Flushing, Queens.
Detectives said Gassama pushed the woman to the ground, attacking her from behind. He then took the woman’s purse and fled the scene.
The elderly victim was treated for minor injuries to her toroso and treated at the scene by NYFD EMS personnel.
Gassama was captured on nearby security cameras after the attack.
