On January 9, 2023, Alvin Lee Redmon, Jr., 28 of Lusby, was sentenced to 50 years of incarceration for 2 counts of sexual abuse of a minor.

LUSBY, MD – The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office has announced the sentencing of Alvin Lee Redmon, Jr., 28, for sexually assaulting a minor child, threatening to kill her if she told anyone.

Now, Redmon will be spending the next 30 years in state prison.

He was found guilty of two counts of sexual abuse of a minor.

Calvert County Circuit Court Judge Mark S. Chandlee suspended 20 years of the sentence, leaving Redmond with 30 years of active incarceration followed by five years of supervised probation.

“The victim first disclosed the abuse when she was 17 years old and told police that it had been going on for many years. She said the Defendant told her he would kill her if she told anyone,” the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office said.

According to court records, Assistant State’s Attorney Rebecca N. Cordero claimed Redmon “showed no mercy and used the victim as his own personal gratification tool.”
