Police investigating suspicious death in Brooklyn after man found dead, with trauma in bed

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department has opened a suspicious death investigation after a 53-year-old Brooklyn man was found face down in his bed on Wednesday.

Police said James Hudley was found by EMS workers inside his 706 Hinsdale Street apartment unresponsive and unconscious. Medical personnel said he suffered from apparent head trauma.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. The NYC Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to confirm the cause of death.


Today, detectives with the NYPD’s 75th Precinct announced they have launched a homicide investigation.

No arrests have been made.
