Suspect with golden club robbed Queens teen of his clothes

It was reported to police that on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at approximately 1830 hours, a 17-year-old male was walking in the vicinity of 115 Avenue and Springfield Boulevard when he was approached by two unknown individuals that began to chase him.

NEW YORK, NY – According to police, a 17-year-old male was robbed Sunday night in Queens by multiple suspects who demanded his clothes and cell phone. One of the suspects had a gun in his hand, and the other held a ‘golden club’ in his hand.

The robbery happened at around 6:30 pm in the area of 115th Avenue and Springfield Boulevard in the Cambria Heights section of Queens.

As the teen was approached by the suspects, he began to run but was chased down by the suspects.


“One of the individuals displayed a gold club while the second individual displayed a firearm,” detectives with the 105th Precinct said on Tuesday. “The individuals demanded property from the victim and proceeded to forcibly remove his jacket, sneakers, jeans, and cellphone.”

The suspects then fled northbound on Nashville Boulevard on foot. The victim did not sustain any injuries as a result of this incident.

The property stolen by the suspects was valued at $3,665. At this time, no arrests have been made, but the suspects were captured on nearby surveillance cameras.
