Police identify suspects in John Dubois Midtown murder case

NEW YORK, NY – 25-year-old John Dubois was shot in the back of the head and killed on Friday, January 13th near the Carver Houses NYC Housing Authority public housing project. Police investigating the case today released photos of the suspects wanted for his murder.

The suspects were captured on nearby surveillance video cameras.

According to police, on Friday, January 13, at approximately 10:15 pm, officers responded to a 911 call of a male shot in front of 50 East 102 Street.


” Upon arrival, officers observed a 25-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS responded to the location and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene,” officials with the 23rd Precinct said in a statement.

Now, police are asking the public to assist in helping to identify the gunmen who murdered Dubois.

At this time, there are no arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing.

The first suspect was described as a male with a medium complexion and thin build, last seen wearing a blue and black North Face bubble jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers.

The second suspect was described as a male with a light complexion, thin build, last seen wearing a black winter hat, a gray hooded sweatshirt, a black vest, gray sweatpants and black and white Nike sneakers.
