Man assaulted with walker after allowing stranger to make a cellphone call

NEW YORK, NY – A good Samaritan was attacked inside the West 110th Street and Central Park West subway station after agreeing to let a stranger use his cell phone to make a call.

At around 9:55 pm on Monday, January 23, the 45-year-old victim was approached by the unidentified suspect on the northbound platform inside the station.

After giving the suspect his phone, the man was assaulted with a walker. The suspect then fled but was chased down by the victim. On his way up the nearby staircase, the attacker kicked the man, sending him down the stairs.


The victim was treated for minor abrasions. The suspect fled the scene. At this time, no arrests have been made in this incident.
