West New York man missing for two weeks found dead in van in Englewood

ENGLEWOOD, NJ – A man reported missing out of West New York was found deceased inside his van in Englewood on Friday.

31-year-old West New York resident Lestor Tabora was last seen alive on February 8th driving a GMC van.

According to police, the vehicle was located outside a daycare center near the intersection of West Linden Avenue and William Street.


“It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of the sudden passing of Lester Tabora. Lester was a cherished son, brother, and friend to many, and his loss has left a profound void in the lives of those who loved him. He passed away on February 17, 2023, at the young age of 31, leaving behind his parents, Mario and Doris Tabora, and his sisters, Tania, Heather, and Margie,” a GoFundMe page for Tabora said, raising over $12,000 for his family and funeral expenses.

Tabora was described by Pamela Martinez as, “A gifted drummer and sound engineer, and he devoted his time to volunteering at various churches in his community. Lester’s generosity, warmth, and willingness to help others were qualities that made him a true friend to many.”
