WASHINGTON, D.C. – A woman was shot Sunday evening in Southeast, D.C. The incident happened at the 100 Block of Wayne Place. The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is asking for help to identify the suspect’s vehicle.
Just before 7 pm, detectives from the Seventh District arrived at the 100 Block of Wayne Place to investigate the sound of gunshots. At the location police found an adult woman suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim was brought to a nearby hospital. She is expected to survive.
