Shore Conference freshman leading Virginia Tech softball in batting

POINT PLEASANT, NJ – Teagan Thrunk, a Point Pleasant Boro High School graduate, is tearing up the ACC in her first two weeks of the season at Virginia Tech.

Thrunk is leading Virginia Tech in batting this spring with a .406 batting average. She hit two home runs and has 8 RBIs.

Before landing at Virginia Tech, Thrunk played for the Intesity travel softball program under Brittany O’Donnell and was named to the 2022 Extra Elite 100 list. She was selected to the 2022 PGF All-American team.


In her senior year in high school, she had a .532 batting average, graduating withe a career .478 average.

Thrunk is ranked 10th in batting average in the entire ACC.
