Police investigating Paterson shooting

PATERSON, NEW JERSEY – Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Bert Ribeiro announced a shooting that occurred near 12th Avenue and William Street in Paterson, New Jersey, on March 10.

At around 9:04 p.m., Paterson Police Department officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, they discovered a potential crime scene and found a 20-year-old male Paterson resident suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound. The victim was immediately given aid and transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.

The investigation is currently active and ongoing, with more information to be released as it becomes available.
