Man put in headlock and robbed in NYC subway station robbery

NEW YORK, NY – A 46-year-old man was placed in a headlock by an unidentified suspect while his accomplice robbed him on Saturday.

NYPD reported the incident inside the 82nd Street subway station at around 2:30 am while the man was waiting on the northbound 7 train platform.

Police said the man was robbed of his iPhone and wallet while the attacker subdued him in the headlock. The other suspect went through the man’s pockets to steal what he had in them.


The suspects fled, but not before being captured on a nearby surveillance video camera.
