Bronx man charged with murder of woman found dead inside apartment

NEW YORK, NY – Detectives with the NYPD’s 40th Precinct have arrested Jeremy Cortorreal, 33, of the Bronx, for the murder of a woman found dead inside her apartment on Wednesday.

According to police, on Wednesday, shortly before 1 pm, officers to a 911 call of an unresponsive female at 647 Cauldwell Avenue inside apartment number five.

Police responded to find the 38-year-old victim unresponsive, lying in a bed with apparent trauma to her face and neck.

The woman was identified as Lissette Gomez. She was pronounced dead at the scene.


Cortorreal was charged with murder, manslaughter, and assault.
