VINELAND, NJ – Police in Vineland are taking a threat made against students at an undisclosed school in the city seriously. Social media rumors spread regarding an alleged threat on Wednesday to harm students.

While the threat may be a hoax, police are investigating and will provide extra security tomorrow just in case.

“We are aware of a social media threat being circulated around regarding a threat to harm others tomorrow at an undisclosed school in Vineland,” the Vineland Police Department said Tuesday night. “Investigators are actively pursuing the threat and we will have an increased police presence within the school district.”
