Man Charged with Hate Crime for Drawing Swastikas Outside Temple and Daycare Center in Queens

QUEENS, NY – Today, Antoine Blount, 34, has been charged with criminal mischief as a hate crime and aggravated harassment for allegedly drawing swastikas on the sidewalk outside a Reform Temple in Forest Hills, a daycare center, and a residential building.

The defendant was charged with 10 counts, including assault, harassment, criminal mischief, and aggravated harassment in the first degree.

Video footage shows Blount drawing the swastikas on the sidewalk and has been arraigned in Queens Criminal Court. Both victims who were punched by the defendant were hospitalized for treatment. Blount is scheduled to return to court on May 8th.
