Woman killed in single-vehicle crash in Brandywine

BRANDYWINE, MD – A tragic single-vehicle collision in Brandywine on Saturday morning led to the death of 41-year-old Michelle Develbis of White Plains, MD.

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating the incident. At approximately 10:00 am on April 1, 2023, officers were called to the scene of the accident in the 15000 block of McKendree Road.

The preliminary investigation showed that Develbis was driving eastbound on McKendree Road when she lost control of her vehicle for reasons still under investigation and collided with a tree. Develbis was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Authorities are now seeking any information that may help them understand the circumstances leading to this fatal crash.
