Police searching for suspect in Staten Island nail salon burglary

STATEN ISLAND, NY – The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a burglary at a Staten Island nail salon. The incident took place on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at around 5:30 pm when an unknown male approached the Cosmic Nails and Spa establishment located at 7001 Amboy Road.

The suspect entered the salon through a rear door while it was closed for business. Surveillance footage shows the suspect rummaging through the cash register, stealing approximately $300 in cash, and causing property damage.

The suspect then fled the scene in an unknown direction. The suspect is described as a male, approximately 25 to 35 years old, with a slim build, and was last seen wearing a dark-colored hoodie, dark-colored pants, and a baseball cap. The NYPD urges anyone with information about this burglary to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline or submit tips online.
