$92,000 bag of cash stolen from trunk in Brooklyn broad daylight robbery

NEW YORK CITY – A shocking grand larceny occurred within the 66th Precinct on Tuesday, when a victim stopped to change his tire at 881 54th Street.

Two unknown individuals approached as the victim worked on the side of his vehicle. One of the suspects went into the victim’s trunk and removed a bag containing $92,000. Both suspects then fled the scene, heading southbound on 9th Avenue.

Police did not say why the victim had a bag with $92,000 in his car.


The suspects are described as two males with dark complexions. One was last seen wearing a golf hat and a black jacket, while the other wore a black and white checkered shirt and black pants.
