Remains of woman found in NYC sparks murder investigation by NYPD

NEW YORK, NY – A recent incident involving an unidentified female has been deemed a homicide after investigators found that the 43-year-old woman sustained gunshot wounds to her torso, leading to her death. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.

The incident occurred on Monday, when police responded to a complaint about possible human remains at 77 York Avenue within the 120 Precinct. After executing a search warrant, the unidentified remains were recovered without further incident. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
