83-year-old man murdered on same street woman was slashed hours earlier in NYC

BROOKLYN, NY – The NYPD is urgently seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted for questioning in connection with a homicide in the 78th Precinct and an assault in the 84th Precinct. On Saturday, police responded to a call reporting an assault at 134 Nevins Street.

Upon arrival, they discovered a 31-year-old female with a slash wound to her right thigh. The victim was quickly transported to Methodist Hospital, where she is in stable condition.

Later that day, another call reported an 83-year-old male found unconscious and unresponsive at 185 Nevins Street within the 78th Precinct. The victim had suffered stab wounds to the neck and right arm and was pronounced deceased at the scene.


Police did not say if the two incidents were related.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death, while the investigation into both incidents remains ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline.
