NORFOLK, VA – The Norfolk Police Department showed off their new ‘soft room’, a safe space for victims of sexual assault.

The Special Victims Unit has received a donation from Project Beloved: The Molly Jane Mission to construct a new soft room. The resources provided by the organization will be used to create a more comfortable environment for victims of sexual assault during interviews with detectives, according to the department.

The new soft room will serve as a safe and secure space for individuals who have experienced sexual assault. It will enable them to share their stories with detectives in a calming and soothing environment.

Project Beloved: The Molly Jane Mission is a charitable organization dedicated to supporting individuals who have experienced sexual violence. The organization’s generosity in funding this project will make a significant difference in the lives of sexual assault survivors who are seeking justice.

The construction of the soft room was made possible by the staff of Pinnacle TCI who provided their skills in painting and decorating the room. This contribution has ensured that the room is not only a comfortable space but also one that is aesthetically pleasing.
