Baltimore police seek information on shooting in Harford Road area

BALTIMORE, MD – Baltimore police responded to reports of a shooting on the morning of April 16th in the Harford Road corridor. At around 8:38 a.m., officers arrived at the scene and found an adult male in the rear of the 2900 block of Chesley Avenue with gunshot wounds to his leg and arm.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries, which are reported to be non-life-threatening. Northeast District shooting detectives have taken over the investigation and are gathering evidence on the scene.

At this time, no suspects have been identified and the motive behind the shooting remains unclear.


The shooting is the latest in a string of violent incidents in Baltimore. City officials have expressed concern about the increasing number of shootings and are calling for stronger measures to combat gun violence.
