Motor vehicle crash shuts down multiple lanes on Laskin Road.

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – A motor vehicle collision forced the closure of multiple lanes on Laskin Road Saturday night.

The Virginia Beach Police Department is investigating a collision at the intersection of Laskin Road and Phillips Avenue. The crash involved a motorcycle and a fuel tanker that resulted in significant traffic delays in the surrounding area.

As a result of the collision, westbound Laskin Road has been shut down from Regency Drive to N. Great Neck Road. In addition, eastbound Laskin Road has only one lane open for emergency responders to attend to the scene.


Authorities are urging motorists to avoid the area and seek alternate routes until further notice. The situation is expected to cause significant delays and inconvenience for commuters. The motorcyclist was seen being transported by ambulance to an area hospital.
