NYPD seeking suspects who beat and robbed 17-year-old in East Village

NEW YORK, NY – A 17-year-old was beaten and robbed in the East Village on April 8th and today, the NYPD released photos of the suspects wanted in that assault.

The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying five individuals wanted in connection with a robbery that took place within the department’s 9th Precinct.

According to police, on Saturday, April 8th, at approximately 10:40 pm, five unknown individuals approached a 17-year-old male victim at the corner of East 4th Street and Lafayette Street. One of the individuals punched the victim twice in the face, while the other four took the victim’s wallet.


The suspects were last seen fleeing eastbound on 4th Street. The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital in stable condition with a laceration to his lip and two dislodged teeth.

The first suspect is described as a female in her teens with a medium complexion, approximately 5’3″ tall, and a heavy build.

The second suspect is described as a male in his teens with a medium complexion, approximately 5’9″ tall, and a thin build.

The third suspect is described as a female in her teens with a dark complexion, approximately 5’4″ tall, and a heavy build with red hair.

The fourth suspect is described as a male in his teens with a dark complexion, approximately 6′ tall, and a heavy build. The fifth suspect is described as a male in his teens with a dark complexion, approximately 5’9″ tall, and a thin build.
