Police identify wallet thief after making purchase with stolen credit card

ERIE, PA – The Pennsylvania State Police Troop E – Erie Station is investigating a theft that occurred at Great Lakes Institute of Technology in Millcreek Township, Erie County, on Wednesday.

A wallet was stolen from a woman’s office during her lunch break. Video surveillance captured a suspect entering the office immediately after the victim left and taking the wallet from underneath her desk.

Over the next two hours, the suspect and an accomplice were seen on surveillance footage at several local stores, using the victim’s debit card to purchase various items.


Both suspects are described as black males; one wore black clothing, a red hat, and a face covering, while the other wore dark clothing and a white durag.
