Forked River vo-tech school to get new roof this summer

OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ – The Ocean County Vocational Technical School in Forked River is getting a new roof this summer.

County officials are now soliciting bids for the project.

Sealed bids for the proposed re-roofing at the Waretown Campus of the Ocean County Vocational Technical School will be accepted until May 24, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Administration Office in Toms River, NJ.


Bidders must submit two copies of their bid, one original and one copy. The contract documents are available for review at the office of the Architect, YEZZI ASSOCIATES, LLC, ARCHITECTS AND PLANNERS, and can be purchased for $150 per set or $50 for a thumb drive. Bidders must comply with the Affirmative Action, Prevailing Wage Act, and Public Schools Contract Law, and possess a valid Public Works Contractor’s Registration Certificate. Bid security in the amount of 10% of the total bid is required. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on May 10, 2023, and the project is scheduled to start on or about June 1, 2023, with a completion date of September 11, 2023. A Liquidating Damage Clause of $500 per day will be applied after the contract completion date.
