NJSP delivers thrills on take your child to work day

The New Jersey State Police celebrated “Take Your Child to Work Day,” providing their children with an opportunity to experience a day in the life of a trooper. The day included tours of various units and displays, as well as demonstrations by the Aviation, TEAMS, and K-9 Units.

As a non-traditional workplace, New Jersey State Troopers have offices that vary from troop cars, helicopters, motorcycles, boats, and even horseback. With over 120 specialty assignments, the goal of the day was to show the children a little bit of everything that the troopers do in North, Central, and South Jersey.

At Division Headquarters, troopers and their families toured the museum and log cabin, while at individual Troop Headquarters, families were able to enjoy demonstrations of various units.

The troopers expressed their satisfaction with the event, stating that it was a resounding success, and the troopers, along with their friends and family, continued to contribute to the tradition and meaning behind the day.
