Woman robbed while waiting for train at Bay Ridge Avenue station

NEW YORK, NY – A woman was robbed by an unknown suspect while waiting for a train at the Bay Ridge Avenue station on Saturday at around 3:50 p.m.,

Police said an unknown individual snatched an iPhone 12 Max cellphone out of a 29-year-old female victim’s hand on the northbound platform of the R Line.

After taking the victim’s phone, the suspect fled the station. The victim did not sustain any injuries during the incident.


The NYPD has released surveillance images of the suspect, who is described as a male with a medium complexion, slim build, facial hair, and approximately 5’10” tall, weighing around 150 pounds.

At the time of the incident, he was seen wearing a black winter hat with a white Nike logo, a red hooded sweatshirt with a “Jordan” design on the front, and black shorts with a white Nike logo on the left leg.
