17-year-old charged in Chicago gunpoint robbery

CHICAGO, IL – A 17-year-old, whose name was not released, has been arrested for a robbery at gunpoint on Sunday.

A male juvenile has been charged with three felony counts of armed robbery after being arrested in the 5100 block of S. Wentworth, according to the police report.

The 17-year-old offender was identified as one of the individuals who robbed a 28-year-old male at gunpoint on April 20, in the 6800 block of S. Ada in the 7th District.


The offender is also accused of being involved in the April 8, 2023, armed robbery of a 31-year-old male in the 6700 block of S. Bishop, also in the 7th District, and the April 22, 2023, armed robbery of a 27-year-old male in the 5200 block of S. Green in the 9th District.

The offender has been placed into custody and charged accordingly. No additional information is available at this time.
